Circular Economy Indexes
MSCI’s Circular Economy Indexes are built to help you identify companies that derive revenue from our transition to an economy designed to minimize waste, circulate resources and regenerate nature. They seek to not only include companies building alternative technologies but those working to reduce their own negative impacts as well.

Circular Economy Indexes
The “take, make, use and dispose” model of value creation for production and consumption is incompatible with today’s resource-constrained world. A circular economy, however, seeks to address global resource challenges such as energy scarcity, biodiversity loss, waste and pollution.
Our indexes are based on the “R” principles of a circular economy: refuse, rethink, reduce, re-use, repair, refurbish, remanufacture, repurpose, recycle and recover.1
